Time to Move “Hardship” out of the Too Hard Basket

The number of Australians struggling to meet their financial obligations has ballooned in recent years. Consequently,  the Financial Ombudsman Service and Financial Counselling Australia  call for a clearer, simpler and more consistent framework for responding to hardship variations, and encourage openness, frankness and early action on the part of borrowers in hardship.
