Our Funders
CCLS is funded by the Commonwealth and Western Australian Governments through the National Access to Justice Partnership to provide specialist legal assistance to people experiencing consumer, credit, debt, financial hardship and financial abuse issues across Western Australia.
CCLS also receives support for specialist programs and consumer advocacy initiatives, including the Financial Abuse Legal Service, the Safe and Strong Financial Futures Program, and coordination of the WA Consumer Advocacy Network (WACAN).
The Safe and Strong Financial Futures Program improves financial wellbeing by providing early intervention, financial counselling and legal assistance for vulnerable consumers. The program also delivers community legal education to social service organisations, financial counsellors, community legal centres and other professionals who may refer people to our services.
We gratefully acknowledge the support of our funding partners and supporters, whose contributions enable us to provide free legal assistance, community legal education, advocacy and law reform activities for Western Australians experiencing financial and consumer law issues.
Other supporters
CCLS continues to partner with a wide spectrum of providers to deliver best outcomes for consumers. Our co-location with Circle Green and Women’s Legal Services WA will enable us to share services, undertake warm referrals and join law reform activities.
We continue to benefit from our pro bono partnerships for intern opportunities, secondments and case work for complex matters.
CCLS provide ongoing representation at regulators, ombudsman and industry forums, conferences and events.
We partner with other community legal centres and community organisations to deliver community legal education in financial and consumer law matters.
We work with other key stakeholders at a state and national level on campaigns that support legal and policy reforms for all consumers.
