In January, Carol, Roberta, and the CCLSWA board undertook governance training with the Australian Institute of Company Directors where they explored themes of strategy and risk.

We congratulate Roberta on joining the board of Financial Counsellors Association Western Australia (FCAWA). This is another exciting development in the ongoing collaboration between CCLSWA and financial counsellors.

CCLSWA contributed to two notable submissions in January. Firstly, CCLSWA made a submission to ASIC’s consultation on product intervention orders for short term credit and continuing credit contracts. Secondly, we provided input to Financial Rights Legal Centre’s submission to ASIC’s consultation on relief for simple arrangements following a hardship notice.
