In the February edition of the FOS Circular, Chief Ombudsman Shane Tregillis spoke about FOS’ busy start to 2017.

Mr Tregillis highlighted the importance of the Consumer Liaison Group (CLG) in FOS’ engagement strategy. It is an important part of FOS’ work to liaise with consumers and consumer advocates to build the engagement between themselves and the community sector.

In 2016 Principal Solicitor Gemma Mitchell joined the CLG and regularly engages in CLG forums and meetings, including traveling to Victoria to participate in face to face meetings with FOS representatives and other consumer advocates. This is just one of the ways in which CCLSWA is helping to advocate for Western Australian consumers.
