CCLSWA is pleased to have contributed to the joint submission on the Establishment of the Australian Financial Complaints Authority Consultation Paper submitted to Treasury in November 2017.

The joint submission was coordinated by the Consumer Action Law C

entre in Melbourne. Contributors also included Consumer Credit Law Centre SA, Consumers’ Federation of Australia, Financial Counselling Australia, Financial Rights Legal Centre, and Public Interest Advocacy Centre

Within this review, CCLSWA supports the establishment of a one-stop shop. The new external dispute resolution (EDR) scheme would implement the recommendations of the Review of the Financial System External Dispute Resolution and Complaints Framework (Ramsay Review). CCLSWA also provided case studies based on one of our client’s experiences in this area.
