Money3 is facing an investigation by the ACCC after it was discovered that testimonials on their website were fake.

In the testimonials ‘Garry’ said that Cash Advance ‘…really tries to understand my needs’.  The ‘Johnston family’, meanwhile, said that they can rely on Cash Advance for ‘…any little emergency’. It has now been revealed, however, that the images of ‘the Johnstons’ and ‘Garry’ have also been used to advertise insurance in Canada and Ireland.

Money3 is a major player in short term lending, having recently taken over the Cash Stores franchise in NSW. They face further legal difficulty as a court action for unconscionable conduct has been issued against the Cash Stores. Rival chain Cash Converters are also in hot water, facing a $40 million class action for overcharging consumers.
