We have long advocated for a robust, economy-wide prohibition and penalty regime to be introduced for non-compliance with consumer guarantees under the ACL. We have welcomed the Assistant Treasurer’s announcement that the Government will introduce penalties to the consumer guarantee regime. This submission responds to the focus questions in the consultation paper.
